We reported a large number of Airbnb key boxes which have been attached to the Probyn House railings on Vincent Street.
Using former Council flats as short term lets means that fewer families can live in Pimlico. It also reduces the local housing stock and forces up rents for those looking for somewhere to live..
The Council’s Housing Team say, “we will arrange for the removal of the key boxes and will take all appropriate action for any leaseholders who are short-letting their property.”
We get things done!
GOOD NEWS UPDATE
The Housing Team says:
“We’ve had confirmation from our colleagues in housing management and social services that none of the key safes are known to them. We’ve sent letters to all residents in the block asking that they contact us if the key boxes are being used for carer access. The deadline for response to this letter is Friday 21st February.
Our communal repairs team has agreed to help us with the removal of the key boxes. We’ll be passing them a list next week once the letter deadline has expired.
Depending on the availability of the communal repairs team we should have the boxes removed in the next 10-14 days.”
