In 2022 Westminster Labour took control of Westminster City Council for the first time in 58 years. Westminster Labour worked every day to build a Fairer Westminster – delivering new council homes, investing in safer streets and stronger communities, and protecting the services residents rely on.

Following the 2026 local elections, Westminster City Council now has a new Conservative administration. Our role has therefore changed, but our commitment to you has not.

As the Opposition, we will scrutinise every decision the new administration makes, and make sure residents’ voices are never lost in the council chamber.Westminster Labour will keep standing up for you, your neighbours, and your community – because the work of building a Fairer Westminster doesn’t stop.
