Code of Construction Practice
The Council has launched a public consultation on a major upgrade to our Code of Construction Practice – setting out a new gold standard for how developers must operate in Westminster. No one should have to put up with excessive dust, noise or pollution while new buildings go up around them. Construction is essential. But it must be done responsibly.
Green Skills Innovation Centre
Westminster Council celebrated the opening of the new Green Skills Innovation Centre at the Westminster Adult Education Service – a major investment in giving residents the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the growing green economy.
Help for Local Charities
Westminster Council has brought together dozens of local charities with local businesses for the latest “Meet the Charity” showcase, a practical, energetic event designed to spark new partnerships and help businesses support projects that make a real difference in the community.
Illegally parked supercars
The Council removed a £250,000 Rolls Royce in a crackdown on illegally parked supercars. The Saudi-registered supercar was towed after the Council said the usual practice of issuing £160 fines was not deterring rich visitors from parking badly.

Westminster City Council has been recognised by ‘Inside Housing’ as the 5ᵗʰ biggest council housebuilder in the country.
