Over the past few weeks, we have seen frequent and unexpected closures of Lancaster Gate Station, which has a devastating impact on local residents and businesses. Sign our petition calling on TfL to keep our station open.

Lancaster Gate Tube Station is a vital transportation hub that serves thousands of commuters every day. It provides easy access to some of London’s most popular tourist attractions, including Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.
This is not a new issue. We had frequent closures in 2023. In response, we launched a petition and presented it to the Deputy Mayor for Transport. Thanks to our efforts, the closures rapidly reduced. However, we are concerned to see that over the last few weeks, this issue has re-emerged. As a result, we are re-launching our petition to force change!
The closure of Lancaster Gate Tube Station has forced local residents to use other stations like Queensway and Paddington, which are already overcrowded and struggling to cope with demand. This has led to longer journey times and mass disruption for residents and visitors alike.
Transport for London has said the reason for the closure is due to staff shortages, and that closures at Lancaster Gate are being caused by the need to deploy staff to other priority stations in the area.
We urge Transport for London to reconsider their approach. Stop prioritising other stations over Lancaster Gate Tube Station, and to better forward plan the staffing of their stations. By doing so, they will ensure that residents and visitors alike can continue to enjoy all that this vibrant part of London has to offer.
Keep Lancaster Gate Station Open!
