Steve Biko Court at the junction of Ladbroke Grove and Harrow Road, owned by the L&Q Group, has been in poor condition for some years.
Following visits to the blocks and concerns raised by residents, Queens Park Councillors – Patricia, Cara and Hamza – put pressure on L&Q to improve Steve Biko Court. Councillors met L&Q representatives, pointing out the poor conditions, including poor insulation, damp and outstanding repairs.
We are pleased to say that refurbishment of the building has now been completed, including window replacement, kitchen and bathroom upgrades, fixing the roof, external wall insulation and decorating. Not only will the refurbishment bring much better living conditions for residents, there will also be environmental and carbon reduction benefits.
