Joanna Camadoo-Rothwell, Labour’s candidate in the Vincent Square Ward by-election on Thursday 27th February, will be a strong voice for residents if you elect her as your Councillor. She promises to:
- Hold regular advice surgeries for residents across the ward.
- Work with residents to improve the housing repairs service from the Council and Housing Associations.
- Press for more action to tackle anti-social behaviour and to keep our streets clean.
- Demand more CCTV in the area: the new cameras are a great start, but we need more!
- Stand up for private renters.
- Tackle short-term lets in Council and private blocks.
This by-election has been caused by the sad death of Councillor Gillian Arrindell, the first Labour Councillor for Vincent Square Ward, who was elected in May 2022.
Joanna is continuing Gillian’s fine example of taking up residents’ concerns and getting things done for the local community.
Joanna said, “I live locally and know how to get things sorted for local people. Let’s not go back to the bad old days when Conservative Councillors ignored residents’ concerns. We need a strong voice for local people and if you vote for me, I won’t let you down.”
“Only Labour can beat the increasingly extreme Conservative Party here in Vincent Square Ward. A vote for one of the smaller parties could let the Conservatives win – and a return to your concerns going unheard and unaddressed.”
