We have written to Royal Mail to ask them to take action to stop their drivers parking in the cycle lane in Sussex Gardens. This happens every day and is dangerous as it forces cyclists into the lane for vehicles.

There is no need for the driver to park on Sussex Gardens as there is a parallel side road directly in front of the flats and houses where the Royal Mail van can be parked legally and safely.

A resident says, “I saw you taking this picture, on this occasion it was worse than usual as it was so near the lights, I came through the light with a large vehicle behind me fortunately when I checked it had slowed sufficiently to allow me to pull out safely, but it is just the sort of situation that could cause and accident and/or contribute to putting someone off cycling. “
