Maida Vale Labour Councillors Geoff Barraclough, Rita Begum and Nafsiks Butler-Thalassis visited the construction site of the new council homes being built behind Melrose and Helmsdale Houses on Carlton Vale.

The site is very constrained, so the houses are largely prefabricated and are being assembled on site. The houses should be ready for families to move in around August time.

Local residents on the housing waiting list will have priority.

We are delighted to have secured this investment to turn underused brownfield land into genuinely affordable homes.
