Residents in Soho will get a new cycle hangar in Golden Square as part of the Council’s roll-out of 17 new cycle hangars across Westminster. The new hangars will be installed starting at the end of September.

Westminster currently has 235 secure cycle storage hangars offering a total of 1,446 spaces for residents. Location surveys have been completed for a further 15 locations, and design drawings are currently in development.

Councillor Paul Dimoldenberg, Cabinet Member for City Management and Air Quality, said:

“Providing safe and secure cycle hangars for residents is a priority for Labour and we have been increasing our rate of delivery steadily over the past two years. There is still more to do, and we are doing all we can to speed up the installation of more cycle hangars in areas of greatest demand.”
