Churchill Gardens Celebrates Christmas

We were delighted to be joined by residents for the lighting of the Churchill Gardens Christmas tree at the end of November, the tree was the tenth tree provided by Labour Councillors since first elected in 2014. The Deputy Lord Mayor started the countdown to the lighting of the tree with carols by Pimlico Musical Foundation.

Your Pimlico South ward Councillors, Liza Begum, Robert Eagleton and Jason Williams wish all residents a very Merry Christmas and New Year.

Fairer Pay for Westminster’s Hardworking Homecare Workers

We are delighted to announce that Westminster Council has increased the pay of agency homecare workers by £1.50 per hour, over and above the London Living wage. Home care staff do an incredible job looking after vulnerable people and enabling them to continue living at home and we are very grateful for their work. We hope this additional pay will make it possible to retain staff for longer, giving our residents the stability and quality of care they need.

Lupus Street Cycle Scheme

We have written to TfL to ask them to reconsider their proposed changes to Lupus Street as part of their Cycling consultation, the consultation also included a proposal about making Westmoreland Place one way without previous consultation with residents.

Dolphin Square

We are continuing to raise issues about residents’ concerns over planning and landlord issues, working with our Parliamentary candidate Rachel Blake on lobbying the landlord AxA on residents’ concerns.

Ward Walks

Pimlico South Councillors joined our City inspector on a walk of the ward to look at a range of issues including litter, fly tipping, graffiti and bins. We regularly report issues for the City inspector to look into. Please let us know if you have any issues you would like us to take up.

Churchill Gardens Fly Tipping

We asked Housing to look into fly tipping behind De Quincey House and also in front of Gilbert House, Council officers have investigated and spoken to the residents concerned.
