NEWS AND ACTION

Ebury Bridge regeneration

Enabling works for Phase Two of the Ebury Bridge redevelopment are expected to begin in early 2026. The Ebury Bridge development will see the biggest delivery of new council homes for social rent in Westminster in over 60 years, delivering 779 homes, 373 for social rent, across three phases.

Phase one of the scheme completed in December 2024, with 226 homes delivered, 100 of which were for social rent. Phase two will be delivering an additional 334 homes, 228 of which are for social rent.

Through the council’s Truly Affordable Housing Strategy, in addition to the 198 social rent reprovisions on this scheme, we increased the number of new council homes for social rent from 41 to 175. This improved proposal secured overwhelming resident support, with 91% backing the scheme in the confirmatory ballot, and unlocked over £40m in GLA funding.
