Residents say the proposed 22 storey building on the Travis Perkins site is “gross overdevelopment” and would overshadow residents living in Sheldon Square on the opposite side of the canal.
A planning application has been submitted to the Council proposing the demolition of the existing Travis Perkins buildings and erecting a building (plus basement) of between 7 and 22 storeys in height providing accommodation for 843 students. A new Travis Perkins’ builders’ merchants would be on the ground floor of the new building.
