The West End Ward Labour Action Team – Councillors Patrick Lilley and Paul Fisher and Fiona Parker – get things done!
Here is a selection of things happening in the West End:
- RUPERT STREET
The Council is upgrading the electrics for Market Traders in Rupert Street by installing better infrastructure so that they can use electricity, rather than gas. Also, the new licenced pitches will be clearly marked.
- SHERWOOD STREET
We asked the Highways Team to ensure that the pedestrian area in Sherwood Street is reinstated properly following construction works.
- GREEK STREET
We asked the City Inspectors to arrange for flyposting in Greek Street to be removed.
- RATHBONE STREET
We asked the Street Lighting Team to fix a faulty streetlight in Rathbone Street.
- WELLS STREET
We asked the City Inspectors to arrange for a broken door on a telecoms box in Wells Street to be fixed.
- HENRIETTA PLACE
We asked the City Inspectors to remove the graffiti and stickers from a street sign in Henrietta Place.
- SHEPHERD MARKET
We raised concerns around noisy construction works taking place at night in Shepherd Market. Council officers have taken action against those responsible for failing to obtain the necessary permits.
We are keeping a look out for problems that need to be fixed in the West End so please let us know if you see any.

We get things done – every week, every month, every year!
