Thanks to Labour, Westminster has the best public toilets in the country
Public toilets are important for so many people – the elderly, parents with children, visitors and more – and thanks to your Labour Council, Westminster has some of the best in the country.
We’ve just opened newly refurbished public toilets at Piccadilly Circus, Parliament Street and Victoria Embankment as part of our £12.7m investment to upgrade and refresh public toilets across Westminster, ensuring cleaner, modern, and accessible facilities for everyone.
Larger cubicles, ambulant WCs and baby-changing facilities have been incorporated within both male and female toilets.
They also feature striking artwork by James Lambert which celebrates the rich history and vibrant culture of our city.
And five more refurbished toilets will open over the coming months – at Green Park, Carnaby Street, Westminster Pier, Covent Garden and Leicester Square.
We are proud to be delivering high-quality, accessible public spaces which enhance everyday life for our residents, businesses and visitors.
‘Exploring London’ said of the refurbished Piccadilly Circus station toilets: “If you need the toilet whilst on the London Underground, these are the best toilets on the network. “
Also, the public toilets on Queensway, at St John’s Wood and Paddington Street, near Baker Street, have been refreshed as part of a £285,000 investment into Westminster neighbourhood toilets, which included deep cleaning, new sanitaryware, lighting, and ventilation.
If you want a good job done, give it to Labour Westminster Council. We deliver on time and on budget, giving practical help to our community.
