We asked the Highways Team to investigate ways of stopping taxis parking illegally in the cycle lane in front of the Hilton Hotel in Praed Street and this is the result:
“A design for cycle lane wands to segregate cyclists from general traffic has completed a road safety audit and Highways are programming a date for their installation. These measures should deter taxis and other vehicles from stopping along the kerbside and obstructing the mandatory cycle lane. If the measures are successful then it should also stop taxis queuing around the corner into Eastbourne Terrace.”
