Almost 4,000 people who live, work or study in Westminster have received free cycle training over the last two years.
- In 2022/2023, 1,345 children and 696 adults received free cycle training, a total of 2,041 people.
- The following year, in 2023/2024, 1,503 children and 412 adults received free cycle training, a total of 1,915 people.
- Over the two years, 2,848 children and 1,108 adults received free cycle training, a total of 3,956 people.
The cost of the cycle training was £140,000 and £130,000 was provided by TfL.

Councillor Paul Dimoldenberg, Cabinet Member for City Management and Air Quality, said:
“Cycling is a great way to get around Westminster and providing free cycle training to children and adults has given nearly 4,000 residents a firm foundation on which to start. Labour is committed to making cycling safe, enjoyable and practical.”
