Westminster Labour delivers its 16th 100% affordable housing development since 2022 in Queen’s Park Court – Farrant House.
Farrant House brings 23 brand-new council homes for social rent to the area, helping tackle Westminster’s housing crisis and ensuring more residents can remain in the communities they call home.
The development transforms what was once unused space into modern, energy-efficient homes designed for the future. The new properties include a mix of one, two and three-bedroom homes, all built to a high standard with private outdoor space and a strong focus on sustainability.
With construction now finished, the next step is allocation. Residents already living on Queen’s Park Court will be prioritised first, recognising the importance of keeping communities together and giving existing tenants the opportunity to benefit directly from new development on their estate.
Alongside the new homes, the project has also delivered improvements to the surrounding area, including better landscaping, safer routes through the estate, and enhanced shared spaces for everyone to enjoy.
Farrant House is named after the former Farrant Street, which once stood in this part of Queen’s Park and was demolished in the 1970s. The street itself was named after Sir Richard Farrant, Deputy Chairman of the Artizans Company, which built the Avenues — ensuring that the history of the neighbourhood is remembered as new homes are built for the next generation.

This is now our 16th 100% affordable development since 2022 – a record we’re incredibly proud of – and it reflects our determination to tackle the housing crisis head-on. We’re also proud to be one of the top five council house builders in the country, with a clear pipeline to deliver 1,500 affordable homes by 2035.
