Westminster is at an increased risk of flooding due to climate change and extreme weather events.
The Council is updating its Local Flood Risk Management Strategy to help the city become more resilient, and wants to hear your thoughts to make sure it represents all residents and priorities.
The Local Flood Risk Management Strategy sets out how we reduce the risk and minimise impacts of flooding in the city.
As a Lead Local Flood Authority, the Council has a responsibility to update our strategy every six years in collaboration with our communities.
Councillor Paul Dimoldenberg, Cabinet Member for City Management and Air Quality, said:
“As we know from the serious flooding in July 2021, Westminster is at high risk of surface water flooding and has been previously impacted by flooding events. Therefore, as part of our consultation process, we are keen to hear from residents and businesses to ensure our strategy is inclusive and responsive to the needs of our communities.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or need additional information. We look forward to engaging with you and hearing your feedback.”
