Finally, after years of this disused pub being covered in scaffolding (at a six-figure cost), Westminster City Council has started its consultation with residents over the redevelopment of the Balmoral Castle pub site on Churchill Gardens estate. This currently proposes the demolition of neighbouring Darwin House to build new community-supported & affordable housing on the site – find out more on the Council’s website here.

There are also drop-ins for residents’ feedback at the Council housing office at 137 Lupus Street on Wednesday 14th August (2.30-5.30pm) and Thursday 12th September (10.30am-1.30pm).
