Joanna Camadoo-Rothwell, Labour’s candidate in the Vincent Square Ward by-election on Thursday 27th November, gets things done for local people.

While the Conservatives have done nothing for local residents, Joanna has already been getting things done in the area, including:

  • Arranging for the pavements to be washed outside Greycoat School, Herrick Street, Cureton Street and the area surrounding Millbank Gardens.
  • Reporting the use of flats in Rogers, Probyn and Tothill Houses, Ponsonby Place and Astral House as illegal Airbnb short-term lets.
  • Getting the broken courtyard gate to Tothill House fixed
  • Urging Peabody to fix the broken gates and CCTV on the Vauxhall Bridge Road estate.
  • Working with residents to tackle anti-social behaviour in Coburg Close.
  • Fixing defective streetlights in Regency Street and Ponsonby Place
  • Getting the missing windows and door on the BT phone box on Vincent Square replaced.
  • Welcoming a new breakfast club for Millbank Gardens Primary Academy pupils.

Joanna said: “This election is about improving life for local people and my priority has been to put residents’ concerns first. If I am elected on Thursday, I promise to work hard and deliver on the issues that matter most to you.”

This by-election has been caused by the sad death of Councillor Gillian Arrindell, the first Labour Councillor for Vincent Square Ward, who was elected in May 2022.

Joanna is continuing Gillian’s fine example of taking up residents’ concerns and getting things done for the local community. She lives locally and knows how to get things sorted for local people. Vincent Square Ward needs a strong voice for local people.

Vincent Square Ward already has two Conservative Councillors, so there is no need for a third. Residents in Vincent Square Ward need another Labour Councillor to fill the gap left by Gillian’s passing – someone who will be a strong voice for everyone, including all the non-Conservatives in the area.

Only Labour can beat the Conservatives here in Vincent Square Ward. If you vote for Joanna, she won’t let you down.
