Joanna Camadoo-Rothwell, Labour’s candidate in the Vincent Square Ward by-election on Thursday 27th November, has welcomed the news that Millbank Gardens Primary Academy has been selected by the Labour Government as one of 75 schools in London to get a new free school breakfast club. The breakfast club will save local parents up to £450 each year, while providing valuable childcare at the start of the day.
This is the start of a Labour Government programme which will see all primary schools get a free breakfast club, including all primary schools in Vincent Square Ward and the rest of Westminster.
The new free breakfast club will complement Labour Westminster’s free school dinners for all 3–14-year-olds.

“This is very good news for Millbank Gardens Primary Academy pupils and parents. It will help to reduce the cost of the weekly shop and allow parents to drop their children at school half an hour earlier which could make it easier for them to get to work. It also means that every child can start the day ready to learn. This is another example of Labour delivering real, practical benefits for Vincent Square Ward residents.”
This by-election has been caused by the sad death of Councillor Gillian Arrindell, the first Labour Councillor for Vincent Square Ward, who was elected in May 2022.
Joanna is continuing Gillian’s fine example of taking up residents’ concerns and getting things done for the local community. She lives locally and knows how to get things sorted for local people. Vincent Square Ward needs a strong voice for local people.
Vincent Square Ward already has two Conservative Councillors, so there is no need for a third. Residents in Vincent Square Ward need another Labour Councillor to fill the gap left by Gillian’s passing – someone who will be a strong voice for everyone, including all the non-Conservatives in the area.
Only Labour can beat the Conservatives here in Vincent Square Ward. If you vote for Joanna, she won’t let you down.
