Rachel Blake MP has explained why she is supporting Joanna Camadoo-Rothwell, Labour’s candidate in the Vincent Square Ward by-election on Thursday 27th November.
Rachel says, “Joanna will be a brilliant Councillor for Vincent Square Ward – she is a great local champion. We are already working together to make the area safer and cleaner. With her energy, commitment and experience, she has what it takes to get things done locally and stand up for residents.”
And local resident, Sue Ball, has given her support to Joanna, saying, “Joanna is hard-working and has significant experience tackling anti-social behaviour. I think she will do a good job representing us.”
This by-election has been caused by the sad death of Councillor Gillian Arrindell, the first Labour Councillor for Vincent Square Ward, who was elected in May 2022.
Joanna is continuing Gillian’s fine example of taking up residents’ concerns and getting things done for the local community. She lives locally and knows how to get things sorted for local people. Vincent Square Ward needs a strong voice for local people.
Vincent Square Ward already has two Conservative Councillors, so there is no need for a third. Residents in Vincent Square Ward need another Labour Councillor to fill the gap left by Gillian’s passing – someone who will be a strong voice for everyone, including all the non-Conservatives in the area.
Only Labour can beat the Conservatives here in Vincent Square Ward. If you vote for Joanna, she won’t let you down.
