Building works during the lockdown

We have called on the Government to allow Councils to restrict or prevent noisy building works during the knock down

Westminster Labour call for Government to give Councils the power to stop non-urgent noisy construction works

Following our enquiries on behalf of residents, the works at Rogers House on Page Street have now been suspended. The Housing Department told us:

We suspended all projected works in the roof void at Rogers House until after C19.I think it’s taken a few days for the parameters of the works we are prepared to undertake to filter through and the contractor’s staff may just have been following their procedures a little longer than would be ideal.”

Vincent Square

We have written to the Head Master of Westminster School to ask the School to consider opening up its 13 acre Vincent Square playing fields to local residents during this exceptional time of the coronavirus quarantine.
