We are continuing to support residents in Dorset Square who object to the newly sited UK Nationwide and Stansted Airport 24/7 coach stop/mini hub which has been sited at Dorset Square/Gloucester Place. They say:
“The new coach stop has resulted in increased pollution, noise and anti social behaviour which is adversely affecting both the character of this designated conservation area and the health and well being of local residents. This is a wholly inappropriate location for this coach stop/mini hub and it is almost unbelievable that at a time when there is awareness of the need to reduce levels of pollution and of the dangers of pollution that this coach stop has been sited in a residential location just yards from residents’ homes.”
Seymour Leisure Centre
We have asked the Leisure Team to investigate this issue:
“Another winter and the gym changing rooms are freezing, showers are not warm. I won’t get into the staff attitude as they clearly don’t care about anything. This has been reported and reported, its so obvious that the organization doesn’t care about its paying customers. How not to run a business. It is becoming extremely challenging to use the changing rooms. Is this a cost cutting measure?
The gym itself has a broken floor (over half of it is broken) broken walls and ceiling. Isn’t this government funded? Why aren’t these things being fixed? There are children using the showers as well as the elderly. Also the showers taps have been broken for ages in the wet side of the changing rooms. It is becoming tiresome to keep complaining about the same issue year on year and not receiving any response. If they can’t run this place safely they should shut it down and repair it properly.”
