We are helping L&Q tenants who are concerned aboutthe lack of cyclic decoration within the Pimlico Grid. Residents say:
“After 14 years of increased dilapidation to these listed buildings within a conservation area, the works have once again been put on hold by the housing association.”
Vauxhall Bridge Road
We have asked the Council if there are plans to install acoustic cameras along Vauxhall Bridge Road after receiving this enquiry:
“We live in Vincent Square but our main windows overlook Stanford Street and therefore we hear all the motorbikes and supercars which use Vauxhall Bridge Road as a speed test way.Perhaps acoustic cameras will ease the task of identifying culprits.”
We are continuing to press the Council to take action against the unauthorized Airbnb use at 110 Vauxhall Bridge Road.
Victoria Station area
The development of a new masterplan for the area around Victoria station is covered in the New Civil Engineer. Invitations to tender have been issued by the Victoria Business Improvement District (BID) to consultants to help develop a new masterplan that would make improvements to the public realm. Westminster City Council along with Victoria BID and Network Rail are mentioned has having already put up funds for the project.
Victoria coach station
Transport for London has dropped plans to move Victoria coach station. The decision comes eight months after TfL revealed that it was reviewing the future of the coach station, which is used by 14 million passengers a year. One option was to move it to a site near Royal Oak station near Paddington, but this was ruled out after residents campaigned against it. Now, TfL has decided to stay put despite some of its leases for part of the 3.3-acre station site, owned by the Grosvenor Estate, expiring in the early 2020s. Instead TfL will change the layout of the terminal and upgrade customer facilities.
