Steven Saxby reports that it took a month asking Network Homes again and again but, now, the fire door in Hindon Court in Wilton Road has finally been repaired.
Nova development, Victoria
Land Securities, the developer of Nova Victoria, has denied social media speculation that pieces are falling off the building. Photographs showing missing cladding cover plates and protective netting were circulated on Twitter suggesting pieces might have fallen from the building. But Landsec issued a statement explaining it was carrying out routine maintenance to about 40 panels on the buildings and stressed this was a tiny proportion of the more than 50,000 cladding panels that cover the development.
Queen Mother Sports Centre
We have taken up this issue with the Council:
“I have been a member of Queen Mother Sports Centre since January last year. During the course of the past 23 months of being a member, the centre has proven to be a prime example of utter chaos and quite simply administration failure. Here are some examples of why I have come to feel this way, and by the way this is opinion shared by a vast number of members at this facility.
- the latest shambles this centre has caused is taking out extra 14.99 out of my monthly direct debit. I am yet to be refunded this money. When businesses take money off your account where they were not supposed to and does not deal with this immediately, this is borderline theft.
- There have been a number of occasions where instructors would simply not show up. The reception always fails to alert participants that instructors for one reason or another are unable to attend, and the staff do not even have the courtesy to come to studios to let us know that the instructor is not there.
- Studios are often infested with dust, hair, food crumbs, etc., for weeks and weeks. Equipment is filthy, hand weights are black from lack of any sort of cleaning.
- One of the three toilets located at wetside changing room has been out of order since I had joined the gym, which is January 2017. “
